What exactly is BD. I know how it works, but besides commentary/chat rooms:rolleyes5: what else does it offer? Mark
BD = Blue-ray Disk. Don't ask why they omitted the R. It also offers 1080p (high definition). I recently upgraded to a 58' Plasma so the 1080p really shines through.
Oh, OK, got that. What I meant was BD-Live thing, anyone know what that is all about. Seems you sign-up with what ever studio produced/released the film, and you can do things, not sure what things, as when I try to sign-up it won't let meut:. Mark
Oh that. Suppose to get you more content. Interviews, story lines, etc. Other stuff that did not fit on the 4.7 GB of disk space available. I am not into that, so I never check it out. I just know that it is taking up some space on my PS3's hard drive.
Yeah that. On our BD player you have to plug in a memory stick 4 GB or bigger, then you have to sign up with whatever studio released the film. I'm with you, I don't want to listen to a director saying why this scene was shot from this angle, or chat with others while watching the movieut: I want it to look and sound good, and pause when it's time for another Mark
These days my movie going experience is restricted to one of two theaters that hosts 21+ showings. There is a bar dedicated to that screen only and you can buy and bring your beverage of choice inside. And since there are no kids allowed it makes for a very pleasant experience.

I enjoy some of the HBO and Showtime stuff too much to go without cable. Plus most of my other watching is on Discovery and History channels with some HDTV and Food Network thrown in. Oh god, I just realized that I am almost a woman.
Yes there is that:cornut: As to the almost woman thing, here is a quote from Steve Martin; "It's a good thing I'm not a woman, I'd never get anything done as I would be playing with my breasts all day" Mark
That was my primary channels pretty much before I shut cable down. Add in cartoon network and comedy central. Its was easily done. You just have to be commited. I still watch all the same shows that I did before.
Do you want to be the one to tell my wife that she will have to watch "True Blood" and "Dr. G" on time delay? ut:
