The folks from AMVIV send out an email last night with news and a link to the new and improved AMVIV site.

Greetings Fellow Miniacs from Las Vegas!

Itâ€™s been a very fun, very busy MINI year. The SCMC gang has been all over the place â€“ playing with aliens up in Rachel, NV, a car show in California, a baseball game, a crazy scavenger hunt, MOTD, MITM, MTTS, a trek up to Big Bear, bowlingâ€¦ phew!!! Itâ€™s been a blast, but things are finally settling back down. It is now time to refocus our attention on that great MINI â€˜partyâ€™ in the desert â€“ otherwise known as AMVIV. Our plans for AMVIV8 are moving right along and we thought it was time to give you an update.

First, the basics, in case you havenâ€™t heard. AMVIV8 will be May 19 â€“ 22, 2011 at Palace Station. Second, our new website is online and operational. Many, many thanks to DB for his hard work and patience, and to Craig of COOPERation for a fantastic new banner. Finally, weâ€™re sending a shout out to the artistic folks in our community. It has worked out so well in the past, we are asking again. If youâ€™d like to see your designs on the merchandise for AMVIV8, hereâ€™s your chance. The AMVIV 8 Design Contest is now open. This year weâ€™re looking for four designs â€“ 1 each for the front and back of the event shirt, 1 for the front of the event hat, and one for the grille badge.
