Welcome to M/A!! My name is Lance, and I am going to escort you through the ins and outs of modifying your Clubbie. Since you're planning on killing cones, might I suggest no mods at all, and instead just driving all out with your eyes closed and pointing the vehicle straight ahead; that'll ensure the most number of cones are hit. Also, don't deviate from the plan should one or more cones get lodged under your car. They'll burn off eventually, and hopefully not take your car with them in a fireball of glory.

Ah will you wear a cone costume for halloween? See if I can hit the apex or cut it too close. Never wide.

One thing I have found through getting to know these guys is that these cars can probably outdrive us. I have enough training and experience to get myself into plenty of trouble, but I have never felt more comfortable in letting the car hit that limit than in the Minis I have driven. I don't own one yet (my car handles decent and is fairly fast, but it lacks the magic the Mini seems to have), but through driving many of them I have definitely been able to figure what I do want and what I don't want. You're going to have a blast in your Clubman. PICTURES!!!

Oktoberfest beers it is. But no, I won't be wearing a St. Pauli Girl outfit (it's not the dress that scares me, nor the unshaven legs. It's the fact that my bald head won't braid like that).

Lighter wheels & tires will always help as long as you dump the OEM run flat a.k.a. "Run Rocks" tires.

Next you can stiffen up the suspension with better shocks and Swift springs. If you want to spend more money you can step up to coil overs, stronger rear anti-sway bar, adj. rear lower control arms, adj. camber plates and a custom alignment.

Helix makes the best upgraded Turbo Intercooler hands down.

Remember the faster you go the more you need to stop so you should consider upgrade brake pads at least.

You can always add a cold air intake but they do not do much, but a header and exhaust will add a little power.

I would, but in orange I tend to be more pumpkin shaped. Tell you what: I'll put a can of Pepsi on my head, and your job is to snatch it.

You have a blue one. That puts you ahead of the game as blue is the fastest color.

It was a compromise with the wife. The bmw started to really nickel and dime me in the last 2 months. I had enough and started looking into fiats and minis. I found a r50 6spd manual that I liked until I scoped it out in person. It was stone chipped to hell and higher mileage. Dealer wouldnt budge at all on the price. Their loss. Im glad though. The wifey suggested looking into something with more room for our daughters who are 8 and 4. I about gave up until I had to fill in for a driver of mine. Drove by this dealer who only dealt in used bmws minis audis and the such. I stopped and looked her over. Talked to the salesman. Figured the automatic was not what I wanted so I left. Ended up driving back by later and said screw it. Im driving it before I completely write it off. Yadda Yadda Yadda shes now in my driveway. First mod was a 4" stubby antenna to get rid of the remote controlled look. Now its onto the real mods that serve better purpose.

So pretty much all I was thinking of. I should mention this is my first turbo car so im trying to learn as I go. Im a firm believer of custom exhausts and have a guy who has done alot of work for me over the years. My e46 went through many setups. Do you recommend certain size piping? Muffler brand and where to locate? I try not to do things half ass.

I do not have a 2nd Gen so I am not 100% sure on what a clubbie requires.

I always do things half-assed. Makes it much more fun when it fails and explodes. That's probably why my daily doings have me in safety glasses all day.

Thanks. Visual mods that to me are a must... I hate chrome. So that all has to get blacked out somehow. Maybe tint. Wheels and "lowering" are handling mods to me.

I have a condition I affectionately term "wonk-eye." It allows me to instantly envision any object in any orientation I so choose. ;)

Nah, not really. Even upside down though your Clubman looks nice! :ihih: I have to admit that the Clubbie has a certain charm to it.
