Au contraire... $75 is a fair price for a part like this. Once you break it down and look at all the steps to make it and package it and still leave a little room for some profit $75 is an OK price. This part will never approach iPhone volumes. It's better than the previous design or OEM for that matter.
I'ma also betting it's made in the USA by merican workers..... That's good enough for me. Craven also has a pretty darn good reputation for being innovative and standing behind their work.

Course.... there is always the bent coat hanger wire with a ball of silver duct tape for a pull......:D

    Just my $.02 opinion.

Peace of mind is bliss. While the picture may not show it very well, the new stick is very easy to read and is dead on accurate.

Oh ya, and I almost forgot, it seems the red handle keeps my oil cleaner now too. Awesome! :biggrin5:

I ordered a raw aluminum one and was going to have it polished. Craven went the extra mile for me and had it polished. These are great parts and well worth the cost. No more ugly orange handle. Thanks Kellen :cornut::

I'd vote for whichever holds up better......I'd think powdercoat, but I don't know for sure...

How are you re-designing the end to make it easier to read? I always thought that if the end were either white plastic or even white painted/powdercoated maybe those who have so much difficulty reading the level could see it better.

If the Anodized is similar to the Red anodized strut tower defenders you did way back then my vote would also be for anodized and a polished or brushed aluminum would be sweet as well.

Love the anodized as long as it doesn't scratch!

Glad that you are making them again. Need one that is machined or polished to finish this:
