I think OutMotoring has brackets for these.
-
Or there are a lot of DIY ways with angle brackets, bolted to the grille, bumper support, ect, though a REAL bracket is probably a lot sturdier
If I got some id most likey do (on a bolt):
light : L bracket : big ass washer : rubber : grille : rubber : big ass washer : nut
those look good though. little rubbing compound and your set -
Thanks for the purchase. Outmotoring brackets are what we use and you can see how it looks in this pic:
I like how they mount and they are really sturdy with a lot of different options for the location. I'll get the lights in the mail tomorrow and send you the shipping details. -
I've always liked those kind of lights. Where's a good place to grab a set outside of the classifieds?
edit* Should've known I'd find them on outmotoring. Apparently you can't mount them in the same place on an R56. Outmotoring suggest "on the bumper." Either way, sweet set of lightsLets get some nighttime pics!

Yes those are Hella black magic lights. Hella makes a very decent light. Aaron at Outmtoing has a nice bracket for those. You will need a good sturdy bracket or else they are going to bounce & with a driving light that bouncing beam can be really distracting. If you need help with installation give me a holler.

That's what I used to mount mine also, the outmotoring ones. If you want to purchase new "black magics" or clear covers the place I bought mine from seemed to have the best prices. It is Susquahanna Motorsport in PA. (probabaly spelled it wrong).

Maybe some fabrication is in need. I wonder if I could make these from sheet metal and a little big of creativity?
-
I've got black magic's on my Tahoe, and while they were WAY expensive, they are pretty damn awesome. Congrats on the purchase, make sure you post pics when you get them mounted.
fwiw, the brackets on mine appear to be riveted to the bonnet, and if I had the choice I'd have mounted the lights lower or further out, or something...one shoots WAY high and to the left and they don't feel very sturdy. If you come up with something that works well, let me know. -
Nick will do, I am thinking I am going to pick up some thick sheet metal this weekend and whip out the old tig welder.
I will post a model here soon, anyone know how far those brackets from OutMotoring stick out in front of the car? These lights are very heavy, the toughest task to to avoid bouncing.
