So will some anal retentive car fanatic take a closer look at the tire walls and analyze the thread patters to make sure they are period accurate? :cornut:

There was a girl I went to High School with and her family had just bought a new Jensen Interceptor. I immediately forgot about asking her out and proceeded to make a fool of myself by asking her for a ride in the car.......
Never did get that ride.....(car ride :biggrin5 -

Jalopnik discusses Howard's artistic liberties vs. historical accuracy. Here's a snip.
Is Ron Howard’s Rush Taking Artistic Liberties With Racing History?

God I hope they do it right...it's been so long since Grand Prix and LeMan...

Be great to see another really good racing movie, fingers crossed!

Noooooo! They started on the racing scenes this week and someone already deranged one of the historic cars.

This pic probably tells the rest of the tale. Very wet track + lousy visibility = deranged race car.

I am really starting to hate when writers are sensationalizing a story for no reason:
This a Hollywood production by a veteran Hollywood director and producer, Ron Howard. You can bet your last penny that every piece of equipment on that set including the race cars has an iron clad insurance policy against just such eventuality. I.E., the grips will get their paychecks just fine.

I actually thought something similar, "of course everyone will get paid" and wondered what kind of insurance they have to carry...and how expensive it must be! :eek6: -
