Jalopnik discusses Howard's artistic liberties vs. historical accuracy. Here's a snip. Is Ron Howard’s Rush Taking Artistic Liberties With Racing History? Read the full article (with more great pics and a well-chosen video from 1970) at Jalopnik.
Noooooo! They started on the racing scenes this week and someone already deranged one of the historic cars. Who Crashed A $3.4 Million Ferrari On The Set Of Rush? (Jalopnik.com)
I am really starting to hate when writers are sensationalizing a story for no reason: This a Hollywood production by a veteran Hollywood director and producer, Ron Howard. You can bet your last penny that every piece of equipment on that set including the race cars has an iron clad insurance policy against just such eventuality. I.E., the grips will get their paychecks just fine.
Yep, I should have just posted the pic but figured posting the article would be a good way to give credit to where I found it. I actually thought something similar, "of course everyone will get paid" and wondered what kind of insurance they have to carry...and how expensive it must be! :eek6:
