As an F1 fan, I can't wait to see this. I bought the "Rush to Glory" book in hopes it will shed better insight to the rivalry.
Another new book is coming out as well. Paul Fearnley 'Hunt vs. Lauda: The Epic 1976 Formula 1 Season', Hunt Vs Lauda: The Epic 1976 Formula 1 Season: Paul Fearnley: 9781935007197: Amazon.com: Books
F1 Racing magazine has a section of the 1976 season race by race. Lauda should/would have won the championship that year as well.

The Senior Film Critic at Variety has already seen Rush. He published his favorable review about a half hour ago. Encouraging, yet very strange, to see a main stream critic not slamming something so focused on motor racing. Here is a snip, link to full review below. Full review here.
I have an unusual take on things like this Variety review. History shows that the more acclaim a movie receives from mainstream critics, etc, the more likely I'll either hate it or be bored by it. It's not always true, though very nearly, but it seems these critics and I differ greatly in our definition of entertainment. So, though this gives me hope Rush may draw a broader audience and, less likely, maybe even convert a few people to interest in motor racing, I'm less convinced now that I'll actually enjoy the movie. Meh, I'll soon find out.
Here's another F1 movie, release date sometime this October. I heard about it some time ago but there hasn't been much buzz and I completely forgot about it. The title is 1. That's it, the number 1. "1" looks awesome. Can't get enough of Formula 1 movies IMO. I'm taping the series "Patrick Dempsey: Racing Le Mans."
Very good movie. Actually stayed on point of what was going on and didn't do any off the wall side stories that didn't have anything to do with the story at hand.. Will watch again when it comes out on HBO in 6 months or so...
As with Apollo 13, Ron tells a story you already know in a way that keeps you interested the whole time. (Almost like it was brand new.) Even Herself (who doesn't care for racing) said it was one of the best constructed movies she's seen in quite awhile, and a good story too boot. Agree with Dave.0, it is a disc I'll own. (Hopefully this emoticon doesn't get me in trademark trouble with other movie reviewers.)
I haven't sen it yet and this is the sort of comment that worries me. Apollo 13 puts me to sleep. Tried to watch it 3 times and never made it through. Oh well, still going to give Rush a chance one of these days, just not looking forward to it quite so much now.
