Make sure you insulate then you can get by with a dual purpose window air/heat unit, that along with one or two halogin lamps will heat a 20x20 space quite well.

I sure you will enjoy your new space, I know your MINI's will.

The garage word of the day is STORAGE. Design your storage needs first and then design everything else around it. You can never have too much storage for all your stuff (as George Carlin taught us many years ago). :p

I plan on storing a lot of stuff up in the trusses, and a few yard/gardening things along the back wall. I want as much floor space as possible.

As for heat/insulation, my immediate plans(this winter) are to just hope for warmish days:lol:. There will be a 60 amp breaker panel in there, so I can run some portable heaters, and I have a infrared heater(heats things, not the air) that I can move around on a stand to heat up surfaces of cars I detail. The overhead door is insulated, and as funds become available, insulation will go in, likely the roof first, then walls.

Lighting is the tricky part. 3-4 overhead florescence fixtures for general lighting, then halogens on stands for task lighting that can move around. I want to get into LED lighting(less heat in the summer, cheaper to run) but the good ones are pricey, so again as funds become available.

I really wanted a floor drain, but the costs were just to much, but the floor will have a slight slope to the overhead door, so I can squeegee out any water.

Money has started to flow towards this project:Thumbsup: Structure, foundation, and flat work are signed on. Need an electrician, but that decision is a week or so off yet.

Being the general is helping with costs:yesnod:

Funny clip. When I was in high school I wanted to join the RCMP, but they told me you had to be a natural born citizen to apply. I saw the Musical Ride a few years back when they were touring the U.S.and was told that is no longer the rule, but it is a tad late now.

Please clear up a BIG question in my mind.....

I've seen pics of Goaljinky in his getup.

Now I've seen pics of Mark in his outfit.

That's two moderators at M/A, that have shown their hidden side.
