If I worked this slow:rolleyes5:, I would not be asked to work much.
There is building happening, so that is progress. Retaining wall is set, and excavation is under way.

What about Mount Lotsie in front of it? You putting it on the roof for insulation when the structure is complete?

So how long will it be before Lois asks for an enclosed walkway between the house and the new digs?

It's your basic 20x20 garage. It's all we really need, besides it's the biggest we could fit in our yard.
Part of the reason it is taking so long is because I'm the general contractor, hiring the different trades. This means there is not a single sub-contractor to complain to. But that's fine with us, as the lowest bid with a single contractor was almost $10,000 more.

Minidave "You gonna make it all 220?"
Lotsie "Yeah, 220, 221 whatever it takes."
Seriously, if you don't run gas to it, you can economically heat/cool it by buying one of those 220V hotel/motel units, they're not expensive either to buy or run and they work well in a garage.
Be sure to run enough amperage for expansion later. (2 post lifts are getting very affordable!) -

I'm thinking of running a gas line in the trench from the house in case I do decide to heat it with gas, but I'll likely go with electric. Going to have a 60 amp panel installed.
I'm also going to put in a dryer plug in there, so there will be a reverse way to get power back to the house from our generator should we lose power. Just need to make a dual male end plug. The other trick is make sure the main is turned off in the house in case the power comes back on, breakers don't like power running through them in both directions:crazy::eek6::lol:
