    I found a local junk yard with a 2008 R56 hardtop. Should have a good engine in it. Alberts is the yard. Heck I bet you could get the whole engine for less than 2k from that guy.

    Well they want $3k for that motor with 75k miles so that's a no go. Any other suggestions friends?

    Well after shopping around I guess I'm gonna throw down the $3k for the motor. This damn thing better run for a very long time!

    Thanks, the shop said my block needed a lot of work too so I figured it would be better to just slap a different motor in. Wish I could get by with just a head.

    Picked up the motor today and brought it to the shop. Should have the MINI back by Monday at the latest!
