Exterior 1st Gen New hood scoop installed.

    The Mini -Fini item P2 and P3 both fit your car. Not sure if you have to pull the scoop out to fit this or not. I'd give them a a call or send a PM to MinifiniGirl.

    I just recently installed the mini fini grille, yes you have to remove to install, no biggy.

    Your scoop is the same as the R53...like mine. I went the hardware store and bought some chicken wire fencing material and cut to fit. To prevent scratching the bonnet, I do suggest taking the scoop off to fit and install instead of sliding it in directly from the front.

    There is no heat issue on the Gen 1 MINIs because it really does capture cold air and forces it onto the intercooler. It does not get as hot as a turbocharger which is heating up from compressed exhaust gas.
