Sorry if i missed it....is there a 2nd gen speedo one yet? I see the tach one on the site.. and... are these less prone to scratches?...Seems like I revieved mine from the factory with scratches lol... Id be upgrading more for that
The 2nd gen speedo lens is right around the corner. It has already gone through a few prototypes and should be available after the holidays. Yes, these lenses have a hard, scratch resistant coating. During development I wasn't at all careful about handling them (e.g. carried unprotected in a bag with tools) and had no scratches except for one that fell on the floor and got stepped on a few times before I found it. One other thing... is that if you get the R56 tach now, you'll be able to add the speedo later at the delta between what you pay for the tach and what the entire kit costs. Just thought I'd put that out there. Matt
