    carboman and yellowbritishrocket,

Congratulations on your pending deliveries! I just read the entire thread and enjoyed reading your updates. You can feel the excitement building from page to page.

I'm behind you guys. I ordered on August 17th. ASK MINI has my Roadster S starting production this week - the ASK MINI rep believes it will complete production by September 10th. Then from England to Baltimore. Our dealership is less than 2 hours by car from the port.

I'm not sure when I should realistically expect delivery. Based on your collective experience, what do you think?

Figure about 3 weeks after production is complete to receive your new Mini. So, you should have it by the end of the month assuming the timing on a ship works in your favor.

You might want to check with your sales guy...ive been hunting for when my Paceman was getting on a boat...well she did! Yesterday she left Bremerhaven on the K-Line "Columbia Highway", bound for Brunswick GA on the 18th!

Mine is on the boat too. Thinking of going to the port on the 18th and waving to it as it comes off the boat. :D

My Roadster S began production in Oxford today at 7:55 AM British Summer Time (BST). I think that takes about a week. Then it must ship from England to Baltimore. My Virginia dealership is about one hour away.

    My ETA is ....

From what I've seen it's roughly 5-6 days in production then off to the port, on a ship for about 2 weeks then through a port in a day or two. A lot of it has to do with timing on the boat.

it seems to be about a week solid from initial start to off the assembly line into QA then waiting for transport...not sure if they ship em by train or by truck to the port...then its a matter of waiting in line for a boat

That's good to hear. My Roadster S is currently being painted at the Oxford factory. Car should be fully assembled and ready for shipping by September 13th. It too will head for Baltimore - I'm glad to see it's only about a week trip at sea. Once in Baltimore, my Roadster will be an hour's drive from the MINI dealership.

Looking forward to your pictures on arrival!

We're buying a house somewhere between Clearwater and St. Pete next summer. Must be within 5 minutes of the beach. We like the area between Indian Shores and Gulfport, probably near Seminole. I graduated from USF in Tampa in 1980 and I'm very anxious to get back to the Sunshine State! I lived off Belcher Road in Largo as a college student.

We're vacationing at Barefoot Beach Resort in Indian Shores for two weeks in October. We have a realtor, so we'll check out a few neighborhoods around town. Otherwise, plenty of sun and chilling out. My Roadster will probably arrive just before we leave .... bummer.
