@Sully one more post like this one defending a 4 door mustang and we may have you locked up and examined
They're not too bad. I was surprised how well my sons 2003 Gt handled on the dragon. It was very quick. Of course it has had a good bit of suspension work done. But the new ones finally got a modern rear end, I hear they handle even better. Its no Mini but no slouch either.
Heck man nothing wrong with a live axle & cart springs. If it was good enough for the Roman chariots it should be good enough for you & me. I raced an old Japanese crap wagon & that live axle & leaf springs were so much fun. Hit the bumps just right & the rear end would jump over a couple of feet tightening your line. Big fun if you knew it was coming. If not then the nomex undies might get skid mark.
I would think that the Germans have a similar process to Phase-Gate in conjunction with a Monte Carlo type cost analysis system relative to the launch process of a new product. As the managers move up in the system they become so indoctrinated with corporate drivel that if told the sky is green, they nod in acknowledgement. I can just picture the BMW echelon all meeting with a Google type Beanie in Roundel color scheme upon their heads. For some reason I just cannot picture Dave in a beanie . . . . . .
