Just spoke to MINI & they have told me the car is due for build in week 20 (which they say starts next week??) - can anyone confirm the current MINI week number to verify?
If this is true - I could have the car the week commencing the 19th - totally buzzing with the news as this wait has gone on long enough now!!

Well, the car has now been built and has moved to the status: '9650: awaiting dispatch to dealer'
Fingers crossed it will be making its way up to Newcastle as I type and I can collect in the early days of next week!

Got the news today from MINI Customer Services (dealer comms have been a tad sparse) that the car is due to arrive at the dealers tomorrow (Monday)
I've sent my salesman an e-mail asking for the PDI to be done ASAP, so I can collect on Wednesday (my day off this week) fingers crossed, but I'm not sure how realistic I am being in terms of expecting to collect Wednesday?
I've never ordered a new car so not too sure on how long a PDI should take?-

TurboChargedChiliPepper New MemberDid you notice the purple tint that color has, kinda like highclass grey from yesteryear? Make sure when you get your car you get the Burger Tuning Stage 1 plug n play kit. I'm sure it will make the B48 engine more in-line with the N18's responsiveness and power delivery. BMS made the Jb+ available for the N18 engine and it is awesome. It made my car, which was already a blast, even better. They are big in the BMW tuning scene. As of now, it's already under development so maybe by the time yours arrives it will be finished. Hope you like the car. I just wasn't blown away by its drive. The 1-series was my last favorite BMW that ended production. It had the great hydraulic steering, suspension tuning, and the 135i had the right amount of engine and exhaust sounds. The newer 3-Series and 2-series have become less involving isolation chambers. That was part of my dislike with this newest MINI. I was hoping they would keep the S in it's current state of tune, but they've softened it up, and dulled down all of the responses that made it such a blast before. Maybe, just maybe the tune, a good aftermarket exhaust, away bar, sport suspension, and something to cover that black strip on its nose, will make it better. Anyway, good luck on the build! Hope you get a well built one!
