After finding out my BBS rims were not going to fit, as MINI have changed the PCD to 5x112, I have spent the last few days trying to locate some new wheels.

    So... I've just ordered these:

They are Speedline Marmora's. Their latest wheel.

    I have gone for:

    18x8
    5x112
    ET 45

I will wait & see how they sit & if needs be, bang on a set of 12mm hubcentric spacers!

    Thanks!

Did a lot of faffing over them, but I decided to bite the bullet!

Finally had some good news from the dealer today - the car is due with them week commencing 19th May - so slightly ahead of the original estimated delivery date.

    Cant wait now!!! :)

Keep checking the electrons on their interweb site, ours turned out to be a "premi" by 2 full weeks.

We don't have that feature in the UK :(

It's just a case of waiting for (poor) communication from the dealer!

    Well that's a bummer, Mate! :(

1/2 the fun of ordering our MINI was checking on it's progress through the build/delivery cycle. Anyway, here's to hoping you get it early! :fingerscrossed:

They are all welcome but you may have top put up with constant jealousy due to some not liking the newer generation Minis. Trust me I have received lots of criticism on the GPII. Yes it will get old but it will let up.

Mike @ Wheelbase sent me a picture of the wheels today - really helpful guy and they have been very good to deal with!

Just a shame the Bank Holiday weekend means it will be next week before I get them!

I think they look even better here than in the renders I posted earlier! :)

Took delivery of these beauties today :)

Really happy with them, but they use radius seat bolts and it looks like NOBODY makes M14x1.25 radius seat bolts!!!!

So Wheelbase have sent me a set of Bimmec bolts which are using some kind an adapter washer to convert the 60 deg taper head into a radius seat head. They are the ones with the black band on the left in the photo below:

Ideally though, I would like to find some tuner bolts in the correct M14x1.25 radius seat fitment - but somehow I think its going to be impossible!! Would it be OK to just buy some regular 60 degree tuner bolts e.g these and swap the washer over from the supplied bolts?

I've been on holiday this week, but just got back and I had a call from the painter to tell me the trim pieces had been done & were ready to collect. Naturally, collecting them could not wait - so here they are…

    IMG_5254.jpg IMG_5256.jpg IMG_5257.jpg IMG_5258.jpg IMG_5260.jpg

Thunder Grey is an incredibly difficult paint to photograph correctly - the sun was shining when I collected them and the colour really pops in the sun with a lovely metallic flake to it. However, as soon as its slightly overcast, or in artificial light, it looks dull grey & almost black!!

The car is due on the 26th by the looks of things, so fingers crossed it will be sat on my drive very soon!!!

I'm going mad waiting for the thing! :(

I like the wheels you bought. I am a fan of white wheels on a MINI. As far as I can tell, MINI no longer sells white wheels in the US.

Post up some pics when you get your new car.

Seems like a very odd decision by MINI?

My car will come with the 18" OEM wheels in white & the Speedlines will be swapped over shortly after collection :)

Just spoke to MINI & they have told me the car is due for build in week 20 (which they say starts next week??) - can anyone confirm the current MINI week number to verify?

If this is true - I could have the car the week commencing the 19th - totally buzzing with the news as this wait has gone on long enough now!!

Well, the car has now been built and has moved to the status: '9650: awaiting dispatch to dealer'

Fingers crossed it will be making its way up to Newcastle as I type and I can collect in the early days of next week! :)
