Got the news today from MINI Customer Services (dealer comms have been a tad sparse) that the car is due to arrive at the dealers tomorrow (Monday)

I've sent my salesman an e-mail asking for the PDI to be done ASAP, so I can collect on Wednesday (my day off this week) fingers crossed, but I'm not sure how realistic I am being in terms of expecting to collect Wednesday?

I've never ordered a new car so not too sure on how long a PDI should take?

Did you notice the purple tint that color has, kinda like highclass grey from yesteryear? Make sure when you get your car you get the Burger Tuning Stage 1 plug n play kit. I'm sure it will make the B48 engine more in-line with the N18's responsiveness and power delivery. BMS made the Jb+ available for the N18 engine and it is awesome. It made my car, which was already a blast, even better. They are big in the BMW tuning scene. As of now, it's already under development so maybe by the time yours arrives it will be finished. Hope you like the car. I just wasn't blown away by its drive. The 1-series was my last favorite BMW that ended production. It had the great hydraulic steering, suspension tuning, and the 135i had the right amount of engine and exhaust sounds. The newer 3-Series and 2-series have become less involving isolation chambers. That was part of my dislike with this newest MINI. I was hoping they would keep the S in it's current state of tune, but they've softened it up, and dulled down all of the responses that made it such a blast before. Maybe, just maybe the tune, a good aftermarket exhaust, away bar, sport suspension, and something to cover that black strip on its nose, will make it better. Anyway, good luck on the build! Hope you get a well built one!

That was a great touch from the dealer. Nobody from my dealer even called to let me know the car was in - I had to find it by driving through the lot twice a day. :frown5: (And then I got so excited when I finally saw it, I dropped the camera!)

After you've finished the break-in miles today, give us a drive report!

    Thanks folks :)

Taking it easy so far - but it feels very tight and also surprisingly quick given it has 6 miles on the clock.

The turbo chatter in sport mode is very addictive and also very loud. I haven't heard others talk about this feature - but I'm loving it!
