MINI US has a new campaign to try and raise awareness on dealer Customer Service. To that effect they are handing out cards. MOTORER PLEDGE OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS Your time is valuable, and we will always respect it. We will greet you promptly, but do not be alarmed if we hug you. We simply wish to welcome you into our warm, inviting and comfortable facility. We will always offer you a test drive (how could you resist one?), and help you find the MINI that fits your needs. We will keep you informed of vehicle delivery or service delays, though such cases are rare. Your MINI’s features and functions will be explained in the time frame and manner you prefer. That is, quickly, so you can get motoring. Alternate transportation will be provided whenever appropriate. We endeavor to service your MINI right the first time, every time. We will clearly explain service requirements and charges. Not only that, but your new MINI will be delivered in showroom condition, and after each service, it will be washed and vacuumed. Lastly, we promise to contact you promptly in the method you prefer after each inquiry or visit, but we don’t do carrier pigeons. Does your dealership exemplify or destroy the Motorer Pledge? I haven't had a hug from anyone at the dealer, but they are all very polite and they even remember my name when I stop in. When I ask technical questions, the shop foreman comes out and answers them. Dave
Mine absolutely does, 110% Baron MINI in KC. I was going thru last year's service tickets to update the oil change and tire rotation intervals in my service book and I found a little item on one ticket I hadn't even noticed, and they never said a word - the chrome tends to peel off on the new gen key fobs, they put a new chrome on for me! That's tending the details!
Overzealous Momentum MINI, Houston washed Winston even though I told them to skip it. Peeled off my sunroof graphic! Good intentions, but not so good on the listening skills...
Thats good to hear that their service end does "get it" I can tell you from visiting the place and talking to the sales staff they they don't. I won't call them Motoring Advisers cause to me they came off as sales people first. Might as well be selling dishwashers for all they knew.
They aren't doing a stellar job on my delivery. Doesn't help that I can watch RORO's going in and out of Bremerhaven on portvision.com, and know ship schedules. Best I can tell it's been sitting on the dock for 2 weeks, hopefully I will get an update tomorrow from my MA.
:cornut: Mini of Dallas, simply the best. Once a quarter they, with Metroplex Mini Club, have DIY day and provide bays/lifts/techs/parts for sale. They're amazing. Jason
This may be a port issue, but the pledge does speak to delivery. Good news is the owners lounge now says it is in route, YIPPEEE it is on a ship! I suppose the frustration is in being on the outside looking in at the wonderful community of mini owners and waiting my chance to be a member. My wife is even looking forward to being married to a mini owner......
Jackie Cooper MINI in OKC does too! I may need to swing down to DFW for that bay day though, that's awesome!
MINI of Austin does a great job on the pledge, except... the City of Austin won't let them wash the cars. Next year, the City of Austin won't let them put your parts/swag/maintenance purchases in bags. Yea! MINI of Austin! City of Austin, meh.
Otto's MINI of Exton, PA does a great job. The sales guys and girls always say hi when I walk in and ask me if I want to test drive a new Mini. I just laugh and say no I have an R53. The Service dept is good but the Parts dept is excellent. If they don't have something in stock (rare) they can get it in one day from the warehouse.
Mini of Sterling in northern Virginia is my dealer and excels in complying with the pledge of allegience to the customer. And hugs are common! Whether its service or sales, I cannot remember when a dealer visit was as enjoyable as it is at Sterling. They know their cars and they know their customers. Sterling is undergoing a huge expansion and are preparing to establish a stand alone site across the road from its BMW dealership.
