:cornut: What year model is your MCS as in R53 or R56? The site problem- PM the moderator if some one else doesn't come along soon. Congratulations on the 'new to you' MINI and welcome to MA. Most MINI problems can be worked out so keep checking back. In the mean time, more info on your MINI and being very specific about your MINI's problems would be most helpful.

As to the problem creating a new thread, well you did in this area which leads me to believe you were probably trying to create a new thread about the issue you are having in a Sponsor area. I've seen that before.

Sounds like the notorious "death rattle".. aka timing chain tensioner. I the car is still within warranty then it is certainly a trip to the dealer.

 

It may also help if you tell us where you are located so we can point you in the right direction for a NON-Dealership option if they say it is not under warranty.
