Thanks Mr. Jim, it will be at least Feb. before I get the rest of the parts together. A.t.I. super damper crank pulley and the motor mounts before I take it to the Mechanic, But will keep in touch and thanks for the offer of the loan.

You got it, it'll be in my tool box. Also, just saw a brand new in the box ATI damper for sale on Tarheel MINI's forum, good price too!

FYI we have a few out on loan, the problem is people don't take care of tools they borrow. They use the wrong size wrenches on them or use impacts and damage the tools and threads so we have to repair them all the time. Loaning tools is a huge pain, not to mention that people always say they'll send it back next week, then 4 weeks later they finally do. Even if you take a deposit.

^^^ Time to charge a refundable deposit on them tools. That would make the user a bit more responsible. :yesnod:

I learned a long time ago not to loan out my shop tools... They either don't come back or they come back broken...

Way, I wasn't griping about the puller, I understand the problems associated with doing business. Been There, Done that. And it will be in the FEB. neighborhood for me to get the work done.

We do. But it would surprise you on how that doesn't encourage people to hurry them back. It actually seems like they feel they are entitled to keep it as long as they want I think.
Also when people return anything with a core I will say 8 of 10 people don't even put their name, address, contact info, or even order number in the box so we know who sent it back. It's a real pain as we just sit them to the side until someone calls and describes the box. They are always angry they haven't got their money back, but it's their own fault for not putting their info in or on the box otherwise we don't know who to credit the core to.

It no longer surprises me when I see it happen now.

Maybe if you included a form when you send the parts out that have fields for basic info and a request that it be returned with the core to expedite their refund it would help.
