You should drive it around a couple of times before the mods so you can remember how it used to feel...

Well I dropped it off at the mechanics this morning and he will put it in the shop tonight so he can get on it first thing in the morning. He thinks that by removing the front passenger wheel and plastic fender liner that he can pull the tensioner completely off and then have access to both the crank pulley and supercharger pulley with out having to loosen the engine mounts and eliminate having to raise the engine up. And while he has the tensioner off he can replace the rubber bushings with the new one's WMW sells and add the tensioner stop before he puts it back on the car. I hope so as he said it should only take around 4 hours, I referred him to Pelican Parts and MINI Technical Articles so he would have any references he might need. So hopefully I'll have it back around noon or one P.M. tomorrow.

Don't know where to realy put this but my youngest Daughter here in the States had my 6th Grandchild last night, Mother and Baby are doing well. Her name is Shelly Murline, the first name is for my SIL Sheldan's twin sister who died at 16 and the middle name is for my MIL from my first wife who passed a few days before a year ago last Christmas. I will go for a visit when mother and daughter are home but will only be able to stay 3-4 days as I have to get back to go to the V.A. and get my hearing aids. If this needs to be moved, please go ahead but I just didn't see anywhere else to post it.

Well I just picked it up and the total for the mechanic bill was $25.00 above the $250.00 I had already paid but that was ok as the quote was between $250.00-$300.00. There is a definite increase in power between 2500-7000 rpm. I was kinda surprised that it hit the rev limiter at 115 mph when before it was hitting 120 mph. Maybe the computer will learn for the updates. The mechanic left out the plastic plug for the supercharger pulley, should I try and get this back in? The hydraulic unit on the tensioner's bushings were just about shot so it's a good thing I got the new WMW bushings and the WMW flat plate stop gives reassurance that I won't ruin a Crankshaft Dampener pulley and tensioner. He did have to raise the engine opposed to thinking he could get around that, the new Fluid Crankshaft Damper Pulley has smoothed the engine noticeably. All in all I'm pretty satisfied with the upgrades as I now have the confidence that the Crankshaft Damper pulley won't self destruct down the road and with the Tensioner stop that it won't destroy the Crankshaft Damper Pulley and Tensioner if a belt breaks. I just need to get a new shorter belt to carry with me so I won't be left sitting on the side of the road because of a broken belt. I was surprised that the stock crankshaft damper pulley was in fairly good shape with no cracks in the rubber ring but figure that I was ahead of things by going ahead and changing it out ahead of a major problem, I guess that the previous owner either took real good care of the car or had to change it out before he got rid of the car. Well I dropped the little plastic plug and can't find it to go back into the supercharger shaft end and it doesn't look like it would go back in the hole on the 15% pulley as the hole that it came out of on the stock pulley looks smaller on the 15% pulley.
