Even when mine was 100% stock (for that week) it made me smile as much as I did with the '05 EVO I had to get rid of... The first MINI (an '05 Justa) I had was fun, but nowhere near the car I wanted...

I know a friend with a stock '83 Camaro, and he keeps telling me what a sissy car the MINI is. But considering his car has 13 less horsepower and weighs right at 1,000 lbs more, he really has no room to talk. People underestimate these beauties so badly. And their potential, especially with a low budget, is through the roof.

The kink in the JCW exhaust was put there to accommodate the extra bracing for the convertibles. They squished the pipe down to make the braces fit.
I will be using my shorty for a little while, but I dont mind holding on to it for a little while when it gets changed out.-

Oh, and the current owner doesn't even know that mods (Beyond the exhaust) have been done. So she's not too helpful in that area. She just knows she wants to sell it for something else and that it goes fast. Haha. I'll try and drag the ModFather down with me so he can tell me what's been done, but no way of knowing quite yet. At least CAI and exhaust, wheels and tires, cc'd headlights, Aero grille, and then possibly a JCW body kit (If it's not legit a JCW). BTW, if this is a JCW, I almost don't want to know, so I don't have to feel bad trying to buy it at normal R53 prices (Looking to get for 8k). Hahaha.
Cheers.-

WTF kind of hacked up intake is on that poor thing? Plus the price seems a little steep. Quickest and easiest way to tell if it is a Checkmate is to lookup the VIN Decoder link that Nathan posted on here somewhere and run the VIN. If it was ordered as a checkmate, it will show up in the package coding.

I'm a fan/ Very simple and classy. I'm thinking de-chrome and throw in a splash of red with a GP wing. XD
Sir, yes sir. It shall be done. Let it happen as you have said.
Alright, we'll see how she responds to that. I want it bad. XD-

Let me know when you want to go look at it. I have a couple pieces of my intake box to paint in the morning, and a couch to yank out of the basement and put in the garage (makes all those hours of looking at my car more comfortable) but outside of that I'm pretty free.
As the others have said, ditch that MSD coil (new OEM is around $100) and see what is up with that intake... It says its an AFE, but it looks kinda beat to hell and cobbled back together to me. There really isn't an easy way to tell if its a JCW without checking the VIN and service records. (The JCW kits where dealer installed prior to delivery on R53's)
Outside of that, the car looks pretty clean for an 8 year old car. I would start an offer at $7K and go up depending on their response... It is a modified car, and the owner knows little to nothing about it... It needs "fixed" is your bargaining chip here.-

Oh wow...really?! C'mon bro, you KNOW those rims are way too small!!! And where's the graphics? Gotta have the graphics! Kudos for the widebody and spoiler though. I don't see myself rolling to Cars and Coffee in this anytime soon. What is that...British Racing Bling?
