+1 on the gp intercooler....(was typing fast...that's what I meant..other tmic/fmic are bling..many hurt performance).
Keep an eye out for parts...some are getting rare, but many cars are getting parted out...
One tip...before you spend big $$ on this car, make sure you start with a good one.

Yeah, I didn't think so... GP IC is what I've always heard.
I would love to, but I'm a bit new to those... What's been your experience on them/what's been your general cost, having to refill it and whatnot? -
Yessir, I will do that. There are 2 MINIs at my local junkyard, so I've got that to help me out, too.
Definitely! If it's not tight, it's not right, eh? -

I will try and get you a few pictures of my custom exhaust later. It hanging on my wall in the garage. It does not hang too low at all. Other parts on the car hang lower.
As for Meth, its like fuel. The more you run WOT the more you use. I can us a little to none driving from Philly to Atlanta. It is triggered of the duty cycle of the injectors.
When I am at the Dragon running in 1st and 2nd WOT I can use a tank in a day. -

I run 100% VP M1 Meth and I forget the cost but I buy it in 5 gallon cans (2) at a time.
I think the last time (Spring) I got (2) 5 gallon cans it was like $70 bucks. I used a lot of Meth at the Dragon.:ihih::devil:
I still have about 3/4 of a 5 gallon can left. -

It is all automatic and runs off the duty cycle if the injectors. My Meth is always on but it only sprays at WOT from 4K utill I shift. Which is well past red line.
Meth is not like Nitrous kit. :nonod: -

Lol....now you're giving me too much credit. I bought the car this way. On eBay. My next mod is some hydros and 100 spoke Daytons
-
Hahaha. Funny. ;P They're getting me some advice on Meth injection (Yes, I'm looking into it, Dave.0).
Where is RMW located? I'd love to get a tune from them at some point, since they seem pretty well-liked by everyone. I went to their site, and I couldn't find the location.... -
Irvine, CA. But he travels around a lot too. (Just to clarify... he goes around for dyno days/tuning parties around the country)

Jan is RMW and if you want more info just sign up for his forum. Lots of information on the RMW boards and Jeff Howerton is also a member and he is the owner of Howerton engineering which makes the best Meth kit. -
Yeah, I've heard of Jan... Had a few run-ins with him at MT. Hahaha. Let's just say, I'm sure he does a great job building cars. XD He seems smart too, but he has a habit of pushing people's buttons hard-core over there. XP
Yeah... I've never understood the stance scene. It doesn't even look good....
And I think he'd probably be worth the drive up to Irvine to get him to mod a car.Plus I wouldn't mind driving there.... Me and a friend are actually planning a roadtrip to San Fransisco next year, maybe I'll go get it tuned then.

Alright, I found 2 I'm interested in. Let the opinions commence:
2002 Mini Cooper S *OBO*
2005 Mini Cooper S
On the first one, I can vouche for the kind of condition his car is in (I may have stalked him on other forums, so I know what he's saying is true). He's done all the right performance mods, and a little too heavy of a hand on the exterior, but I love the color combo and the exterior bits I don't like is stuff I can un-do. $6,500 sounds like a steal for all those mods (Read the whole ad, he later says that it's what he'll take). CONCERNS : Just based off the ad it seems like he ran it to death. Again, I've watched him on forums, and he doesn't seem like someone who street-races or anything, and he's said he wants the car in perfect condition to sell, and doesn't want someone to end up with a piece of junk or anything, but I'm a little concerned that the engine is gonna blow at 100,000.. So, what do you guys think?
**EDIT** I don't know why he has those terrible pictures up, BTW. I've seen much, much better ones of his car, and it's very sharp looking under all the stupid looking stuff (Read: Brass knuckles shifter, stupid stickers, gold stripes, eyebrows).
As far as the second one goes, I know, he's asking too much. If I can't haggle him down to about $6,300-$7,000 (Depending on the condition), it's a no. So, price aside, it looks like a nice, clean base to start modding. Miles are a little on the high side, but he seems to keep up on maintenance, and he already rebuilt the S/C. Again, what is your guy's experienced input?
Thanks in advance!
