Why not put a spacer under the steering wheel to move it closer to you.

I'm not quite as bad as old T-Rex. It does look like a lot of work. I figured it would be.
Is there such a thing as a spacer for the stock wheel set up? I know I've had them for my MOMO wheels in the past. I'd like to keep the controls and air bag.

You will probably need to machine this yourself. Just be sure to keep the center hollow to pass the wiring. Also, before you take the steering wheel off and disconnect the airbag disconnect the battery to prevent the airbag light from coming on. Mark the TDC on the column and steering wheel to make sure it goes back on in the same spot.
