Took my OEM stripes off.... Like it better without them... But that's just me.... Do what you want.... That's all part of owning a MINI...

Run the first one on the sides.

thought of that, but im to used to bonnet stripes, having none there would be weird. the ones on the bonnet now need to go soon, they're yellowing and one has a thin crack. it's just figuring out what i want..

No stripes owner here and love it.
It makes your car more unique because everyone else has stripes. -

I had the bonnet strips like yours, white over black. I took them off and I like the look better.
The only thing is the paint under the strips was much better than the rest of the hood. So be prepared to do some polishing. -

I always say do what you like at the moment with vinyl. You can always take it off and go another route. Pretty cheap if doing install yourself. More and more are using that first design on their window or dash so for me that would be a turn off, but as long as you like it that's all that matters.
