Those tires are a great value, IMHO.

They're not in the same league as my RE-11's are now... but they're incredibly good for the price. I drove the crap outta my last set... and with some big discounts I got them for less than $300 out the door, installed.

You will love the TSW springs. I have a set of the V1 springs and love them.

I am running the Nitto Neo Gens in 215/45/17 on my 07.

I just had a ripping good time on the long route home, after my coffee break. :arf:

Nice day in Colorado, scared the carp out of the 10 thousand bicylelists on my fun route.

Must post a map, off to make map.

lotsie Club CoordinatorYes, there is more gap with the 205/50/15, but on a Justa I hear the gearing is better.

I'm hoping this will help with the gap http://www.waymotorworks.com/wmw-suspension-package.html

I ran that size (215/45R17) all last year - put about 20K miles on them, including two trips to the Dragon, two track days, an tons of hard driving. Really liked them. Very hard to beat for the money. They're grippy and very predictable in all conditions.

That said... they're not RE-11's or Star Specs. The Neo Gens will probably wear twice as long... but driving on the RE-11's is a semi-religious experience.

I really can't justify the short life and expense of a tire with less than a 200 wear rating. I would go thru them too quick.
-
lotsie Club CoordinatorQuestion, do you rotate the Neo Gens corner to corner, or front to back? They have an outside-inside marked on them, but no rotation arrow.

-
KC Jr 54 New MemberI must say, Star Specs FTMFW !! (just became available in 205/50/15) I have gotten 13k out of them so far and maybe another 3-4k before i need to replace them.

But to the OP, i have some friends that run the NeoGens and enjoy them very much, so good choice.
-
lotsie Club CoordinatorI'm very happy with them. Poco feels well planted to the road. Have not done much highway with them yet, but I was out the other day, and the stretch of highway I was on, the old tires used to tram somewhat, none with the NeoGens.

The other thing I noticed, is the traction control hardly comes on in the wet. Being a Justa, it can't spin the tires as much, so it just goes So far they seem to handle wet twisties really well. So far they seem to handle wet twisties really well.

lotsie Club CoordinatorSo the tires now have a very spirited run on them, 250 miles worth, and I must say my 03 Justa has never felt so good. Smaller R has proven to make the car quicker, even with a way off speedo:lol:, and more gap:lol::lol:. The turn in is very quick, back end follows along nicely, even when braking late pushing hard in tight turns

For DD they are nice, and rain handling is great.

what is the advantage of a 15 versus a 17?
-
wmwny Well-Known MemberThey are good as long as you live in a clime with not a lot of rain and no snow. However, the ASXes REALLY suck when used in larger widths in heavy rain and aren't much better in even light [2"] snow. And, you can just pray that you won't encounter ice....
-
ScottinBend Space CowboySupporting MemberSo Mark, how do you like those Nitto's after a year?
