I just purchased a used 2006 MC S with JCW aero and 18" wheels with 46K miles from my son's boss, women fire chief in Memphis. It is automatic and has the paddle shifters with the gauge package. I found the strut towers have mushroomed and looking to change out the auto fluid and brake pads (looking thin but no light yet). I purchased the tire tool kit, scan gauge, oil filter socket, and strut tower plates for DIY work later. The MCS came with runflats but owner changed over to non runflats after problems of bent rim and flat tire. I took the Mini to a SCCA autocross Sunday and learned how to use the paddle shifters and what she would do on the course. I ran in the tire class (DS) and was 13th out of 15 cars which was not to bad for a senior citizen (68). Later.

Welcome aboard, sounds like you're already in pretty deep, so you're in the right place. As long as the towers are shroomed, you might as well upgrade to adjustable camber plates and new shocks - I mean as long as you're in there
