Welcome to the best MINI forum on the net.
The best repair manual is the Bentley manual.

The others pale in comparison

Roadster Manual
Hi, Dave!
Thanks for your reply. The Bentley Manual doesn't seem to list the Roadster in the contents. How do the dealerships repair and service the Roadsters if there is no manual for them? Thanks again,

The Bentley Manual should have everything you need minus the top & assorted parts.
What is the J part of your roadster?

The dealership has their repair manual digitized and they print what they need for specific jobs. -
First and for most, congrats Eddie!
Secondly, in August 2017 our car will go out of warranty. Last August it went out of free service so getting a manual might be the right thing to do...
Quick question for those who have the Bentley manual: Does it lists all proper bolt torque numbers? I always like to use the proper numbers.
Side question: Other than the usual wear items like brakes, oil changes (which I did one already quite smoothly), oil and air filter, what other items does MINI techs do on their scheduled services in the long run for minis? -

The dealer should have a list of things they "Change" and things they "Check" for scheduled service levels.
*Note the more they "Change / Replace" the larger your bill will be. -

Bear in mind that dealers will always try to make more money by adding on things. Fuel system flush, power steering flush a new MINI air freshener? I ask them to show me where in the factory list of things to service these are shown. Cash cows for the dealer. I'm not anti dealer, but I am anti screw with my wallet.

Planning to keep it for the long run so good maintenance is key... as long as I know what that is  -

The #1 think to keep any MINI is good working condition is Change your oil often.
Some like me still stick with 3-4 k because OEM paper filters don't filter well after 8k to 15k.
Oil may last longer than 3-4k but do you really want very dirty oil and filter in you car for much more than that?
Fresh oil and cheap costing good OEM filters are cheaper than motor rebuilds.:ihih:
