    Hi all,
I'm picking up my new MINI Countryman SE ALL4 PHEV in about 2 weeks after I turn in my scandal-laden diesel VW. :)

I'm looking forward to learning from other All4 PHEV drivers, especially about the mpg you're getting and so forth. I ordered the panoramic sunroof, racing green, with white trim and white bonnet stripes.

I'm wondering if I need to get a charging station, or if I'll be fine just using the standard 240V exterior outlet. I'm sure I'll have a million questions moving forward. I'm actually still also considering a Chrysler Pacifica Minivan hybrid... talk about apples and oranges, but yeah. It gets great MPG and has about 30 miles on one electric charge. But of course, it's a big ugly minivan....

    Anyway. :) Hello from Maryland!

    Welcome to M/A!

I can't offer any help at all, as all my MINIs [3] are Gen 1, but it's nice to see people are still interested in our cars! Again, WELCOME!!

    Welcome to MA! :cornut:

Can't wait to see pics, sounds like a nice color combination!

I know in the past, there were rebates by the power company and local state governments that would essentially make the install of the charging station free. I did a quick search, here is a link to what i found:
    Original Rebate:
    http://mde.maryland.gov/marylandgreen/Documents/EV_dealershipflyer_online.pdf
    Updated Rebate:
    http://energy.maryland.gov/transportation/Pages/incentives_evserebate.aspx

If you can get rebates for the car and for the equipment install I would consider doing that.. even if it works off a normal plug. That way you have it for the future.. not matter which car you get.

Yea.. that is a bit swing. Think you know what my answer would be about that.. :beer

There's not many other EV MINI owners out there, I think you're the first I've seen in a forum.

I'd recommend installing a higher power charging station, it'll charge MUCH faster. Folks that have pure electrics swear by them.
