Oh boy, the new TG is going to go down in flames.
-
I hope both do well. I really didn't care about TG with Clarkson and gang gone. But..... David Coulthard had a good sense of humor in F1 and is a good guy, Chris Harris makes some great videos and deserves a brake, I have seen Sabine Schmitz in several videos she also has a good sense of humor and does not take herself seriously. I no nothing abut Chris Evans but for the other three I hope it makes it.

So they haven't signed Sabine or the Monkey.

I am sure it was just the teutonic interior of that Audi that got to him.

The thing is.... The new show will always be compared to the old show...
It really puts pressure on the new guys / gals to get their act together if it's ever going to have a chance of being successful..... -
I have officially given up hope on the new Top Gear

They had a chance to truly make a show that focused on cars and not gimmicky staged adventures, but it feels like they have decided to go head to head with the three buffoons on Amazon Prime (which they will lose to). -
Yeah, not enthused by the choice there. I'll give it a season or two though. Most new shows don't catch their stride until the second season so I think it's fair to give it time and not write it off before seeing it.
And yes, this counts as a "new show." -

So your saying this new car runs on this.....
-
He's quite the car guy. Goes to F1 races, has a nice little collection of his own and is pretty handy behind the wheel. Set the fastest non-race driver time.

That choice came out of left field!
On the other hand, every time I've seen him since he left the sitcom scene, I've been surprised. My brain has a hard time believing that calm, quiet, smart and not-goofy LeBlanc is the same guy who played the idiot so convincingly. Heck of an actor, I guess. Plus, he knows cars and he can drive.
Even with this addition, I still say their biggest cast liability is Evans.....
