I had one of the VIP mounts and took it off because the bushing always moved in the dog bone.
Buy one of these and it will be the last upper mount your car will need.
Is it worth the money? Yes it is, every last Penny.

I don't know about the NVH from that mount. I do know if you go here VIP Custom Parts Mini, Mini Cooper, Mini Convertible, Mini Cooper S parts page to buy it you'll save 30 bucks. VIP makes them, the other place, well...even on sale they are overpriced. You can find everything they sell for less elsewhere. Just ask, we'll be happy to point to a better source.

Not much at all if you go with the road and NOT the race version. I would say its about the same as the OEM one but it does not fail.
I also have the lower one. $155.00 https://www.greeneperformance.com/mini/mounts/mini-torque-link-r53.html-

To add to this, the stabilizer posted by the OP. The one in my car broke during an autocross session. I replaced it with the same thing but am looking for a replacement.
But what a world of difference in how the car handles with and without it!-

I also have the vibra-technics mount on my car (track version because track car) and I was very impressed with the quality of the piece. I also put the street version on a friend's car when their oem failed and they couldn't detect any additional NVH like there is with the race one so they are happy too. Vibra-Technics's FAQ on why they use rubber is what made me choose their piece over the other ones available.

Additionally, does this REPLACE the factory upper liquid filled mount? Or does it merely bolt to the top? I'm cornfused....
