OEM or Mann filters FTW...
The "O" ring on the filter housing can get "nicked" easily.. Make sure there are no sharp edges on the housing..
Coat the rubber with oil and re-install... This should fix the leak problem

Get one from the dealer. It comes with the correct o-ring. I don't usually get filters from a dealer but for the mini I do. There lots of cases where people have had problems with non OEM filters. I believe they are $15, it's worth the money.

I have the BMW Mini part number that had the wrong size 0-ring. That part number is 11 42 7 512 446. I wonder if this is the wrong filter for the W11? I will check. Nonetheless, ii is for certain that the wrong o-ring was in the kit. -
