I must admit... I don't always wave. Mainly because there are so many MINI drivers these days don't look around them or bother to get off their phones! But keep up the good work... those who love our cars will wave back!

 

Welcome aboard! I still wave at everyone (and I'm a chick) - although with the PDX MINI population, and traffic, it can get be a hazard at times. Happy motoring - oh, and wax your windshield, it'll make a world of difference

You can use any wax

What I think is a better solution is the PIAA Silicone Wiper Blades. They laydown on a continual layer of water repelling silicone that really works. I've had a set on both my wife and I's MINI's for near a year now and they are still working great. Little pricey on the frontside but they last.

I think RainX just released what appears to be a similar product, they've ran several national tv spots to give you a example of what these can do

 

The product most use for the windshields is Aquapel. Lasts a long time and does the entire glass, not just the wiper area. I use this on all the glass as it makes the snow/ice come off real easy and the water just sheets off when driving.

 

Aquapel works well, and so does the Prima Hydro. You won't even need to use you windshield wipers if your moving fast enough!

Always found the car wax's not lasting very long over here. Wipers were always scrapping it off. Water beaded up just fine wherever the wipers didn't wipe...lol

Yes, beware of lurking shopping carts. Although, classic MINI friendliness. We parked way in the middle of no where last weekend, totally empty row, back of the lot. Came out a 4 cars were parked on either side - with TONS of spaces closer in. Just goes to show how much everyone admires us MINIacs!

 

You can always clear bra him. Lot's of great shops around and really makes a big difference. Give him a good coat of wax, and go motor!
