It cost me about $500 to install Marshal gages, with all the adaptors for them to work.


So their price is in the ballpark.

You really don't need any gauges except fuel if you maintain your car correctly.

Well maybe a carbon gauge for the 2nd GEN's. ( for Rick ) :devil::lol:

 

I hope dark gauge faces are an option for JCWS...

 

The price is actually in the same ballpark as the dual Aeroforce Interceptor gauge set-up I acquired for my '11 R56 S and currently have installed in my '13 R59. The twin Aeroforce gauges run $399 plus $30 for the cable; then add in another ~$175 for the supporting Cravenspeed Flex Pod mounting, extension, double gauge cup kit, and cup backs.

(Of course, the two Interceptors provide simultaneous and programmable read-out of any four (including proper display of units) of the considerable number of data streams coming off the port, plus the two programmable pairs of warning lights, ability to read and clear codes, etc. The analog displays of the nGauge are pretty cool, but yet not sure how programmable or versatile they are. The fixed gauge face markings might dictate that it be dedicated to a single data stream.)

The Scangauge and various smart phone options that run off of the OBDII port are obvious cheaper options if one is only interested in the data and aesthetics are less of a consideration. These solutions will always be constrained to look like an aftermarket add-on that doesn't mesh well with the rest of the interior design. I think the ability to acquire an integrated, OEM look-and-feel will appeal to many and make the price for the whole kit seem palatable.

I figure since folks are buying dipsticks for $75 the gauge price is about right. The stiff ain't cheap, but it sure does appear to be well made.

 

Yeah- but they aren't coming out with ones for the R53 initially (booooo).

I did s/w them and they are in the plans for development after the initial launch. Price point may drop as well

I plan on getting a set for sure.

this is from an email about the updates as they are building this ngauge, tentative pricing is $599. Here is the email.

If they have the dark gauge faces to match the JCW faces I'm down for a set of these to replace my ScanGaugeII.

 

ok well I just thought the price was high. I guess they don't love the almighty R53 as much as some of y'all.
