    The concept behind the car deserves a big thumbs-up.
    The concept car itself gets an even bigger thumbs-down from me though, yuck.

    I'm sort of with Scott on this. Yep that concept is drop dead fugly, but the production version might be as good looking as the Juke. :lol:

    What the hell man? I'm sorry but I expect more from the company that brought us the original "sexy" Z cars, and the Skyline R34.

    I think their designers are all smokin' rope. And NOT the good rope either but more along the lines of nylon rope.

    I mean, take the Nissan Leaf for instance. It looks like they shoved a go-cart up a catfish's arse.

    And just when you thought it coundn't get worse....This?

    It honestly looks like the mutant offspring of a late night, drunken encounter between Gary Busey and a wrecked new Camaro.

    Calm down boys.......it is just a concept at this point. :biggrin5:

    I am actually looking forward to this as I see Nissan wanting to be a bit more competitive in the smaller sports car wars. And with the new Suyota out I think the new Nissan will be a great alternative.

    Like I said, thumbs-up for the concept of the car, thumbs-down for the actual concept car.

    I'm hopeful, I'd love to see Nissan in this particular game.

    But how many times do you look at a concept car and hope they'll build that car, exactly as it stands on the plinth at a car show? I rarely feel that way. I've never understood the reasoning behind presenting those over-stylized design concepts to the public and media. Wouldn't it make more sense to present concepts that excite as they are rather than things that look like you let your design students go wild and spawn thoughts like "calm down, it's just a concept car, I'm sure the real thing will look better"? I don't mean they need to wait to completely finish a car before presenting the concept, but why not delete the frills and obvious designer crap before making a big deal of it?

    To me this is a like watching a trailer for a movie that hasn't finished production yet and the trailer convinces me I don't want to see the movie. More often than not I'm forced to look at a concept car and think "Yikes, better wait for the real car before passing judgment."

    and we wonder why cars cost so much. They spend millions on concept cars that they know full well they aren't going to acutally produce... Ford did the same thing 2 times in the last decade that I know of with cars I wish they had built. The new Shelby Cobra, and new version of the Shelby Daytona Coupe spent millions, had show made of the builds, brought Carrol in to look them over and give the thumbs up, and then nothing!!!
