I have found my 215/45/17 Motivos to be really nice up in the mountains, we shall see how they like the I40 route East. :)

    Long Lasting Tires

:cornut: Those tires sound great. I've had to go the other direction and get long lasting tires due to recent economic down turns and the fact that at my age and health status, I only drive spirited street. I got 215 45 R17 Continental Extreme Contact(non run flat) hardness rating 540 tires(just under steel in hardness I think). These suckers just don't wear out. Now, they are not grabby in the turns but being on Margi(08 R56 MCS/JCWm Sport Suspension and 14lb ea OZ wheels) they are way more than adequate for me. Plus there's added excitement. In a long tight curve with the speed up, hitting a series of ripples in the road causes her to skip laterally several inches and 'put the smile on.' Myself, I get happiness from my 4 wheel ripple drifting but never with other (lessor) cars around. They do great in heavy rain also.
