It's not the start of THE LeMans race, but a race for the LeMans classes of cars at a different track.
Still, I wonder why in the heck the pace car didn't pull off on the green, or why they threw the green if they were going to run another lap behind the pace car? Especially since they were still waving the yellow....
What a mess! -

Ugly mess there. Who gets fired for that one?
-
What we've got here is a failure to communicate...
-
I wonder if the P cars being forced to slow to stay behind the pace car is what caused the mess in the back. Not cool from some Porsche owners, fo sho.

Edited the thread title to be in tune to the actual content.

That looked pretty bad. Wonder who punted the Aston causing the shunts.
I don't know if you guys remember, but a few years at the Historic races at Elkhart the large bore class had a stating line smash up that made this look like child's play. Starts will always be dangerous especially for those guys coming up from the rear. -

Just like my old Legends cars days, drivers only driving to the end of their hoods. Either that or just relying way too much on their radios.

Somebody forgot to say "GO".......
Major case of no communication between the drivers and race control.
I remember that race Crashton......it was at Road America. Same kind of thing happened, back of the field decided to race w/o telling the guys up front about it. -
