Well by definition I may not be a silverback just yet, but I have motored over 35,000 in my old Mini. I still motor on in whatever I drive though.

And thanks for the compliment..... :D:Thumbsup:

Still waiting to hear from work to confirm my arrival!

That is a lot of miles in a short time. You need to stop & smell the roses more. You can be the riding mechanic. Bring a tool bag & a roll of duct tape.

It's kind of a late offer.......

I'll be down at the shop around 11:00 this morning adding my polyurethane inserts for the lower engine mount that I bought from WMW.

If anyone want's to do a quick oil change before the "Magical Mystery Tour", you're more than welcome.:D

844 North Kerr Street, Blackwood Sheet Metal
In the Short North..... Just off High street, take Hubbard east to Kerr, make a left (North), 50 ft on the right.

MM, didn't see this until now or I would have stopped by. Don't need to change my oil but I could have offered my opinion on everthing you were doing (like you would have needed that!)

I probably would have stopped down as well lol.

Spent most of the morning trying to get the fuel filter canister apart to get the fuel filter changed... IMPOSSIBLE. Im no hulk, but c'mon. Its like the tightest, sharpest pickle jar ever.

Did get the plugs changed. What a difference. Dont go 45K on the originals lol

Luckily the Motul 5.1 brake fluid bleed went well.

New belt.. forget it... ill wait till the old one snaps. There was not much unraw skin left from wrestling the fuel canister

Now to jack up the coilovers and put the 16s back on. Didnt fit, but Aaron saved the day with having some 5mm spacers in stock... stupid oversize tires... Also good he had them as I had a very large bolt wedged into one of the runflats!

Then after another hour of bloodying all of my knuckes and covering them in penetrating oil, I got the coils raised.

    end rant.

    So lets driiive.

As I have found out sadly today, as being a manager in training it is practically impossible for me to get this Saturday off, let alone any other Saturday. Probably more impossible than that fuel filter canister. Just get a new canister with a filter in it. Lol. Or beat it with a 4 lb. Sledge. I've found that it works on everything. (disclosure: may cause damage to many things including your fingers, thumbs, bones, wires and other metal items. And always be sure to wear safety glasses while using said tool as eye damage or irritation may occur.) :D I'm about to do some similar things to my Honda with springs and such.
Anyways. I'll be wishing I were with you guys, and ladies. Enjoy the ride and please take many pictures. When I'm not a MIT then I'll be sure to give myself some Saturdays off. :0

What is the definition of "Soon" in this context?

If you give me a destination I can whip up a route for us today. I would think we should need something by today that way if we're going a few hours out, we can make reservations! :)

If I can be of any assistance let me know. I am a wizard of the interwebs. :p

Nick, this is a day trip. I am planning on spending all day Saturday on the drive. As far as the route goes, planning is in the hands of the best and I can receive the route information Saturday morning. Patience Weedhopper!

Day trip meaning, drive all day and come back home same day?

Please clarify, "one of dirt's age". :p

I am so looking forward to this drive! Hopefully the weather will be good because I'm not sure that the near slicks I'm currently driving on could handle much moisture.
