I hope it's not too cold for my summer tires, because they're still on my car! :deadhorse: are you serious this is an emoticon?!!
We (Sue and I) will try to make it. I can't promise we'll make it, nor will I promise which of our vehicles we will do it in. Paul
I am excited for the drive. I really wanted to have my lights on for it but $$$ limits what we do aye? its all good we have plenty of time to enjoy those! Summer tires are staying on for one last drive! Sent from my T-Mobile G1 using Tapatalk
I'm an optimist. The weather will be fine & if it is a bit dicey just drive to the conditions & you will be OK. You have to make your own decision about installing snow tires. If it was me I would not. Although I am running tractor tires from Wally World. Turn on your driving lights to warm the road up in front of the MINI, simply a brilliant idea! Paul & Sue hope you cam make it.
Rotated and inflated the tires, got an alignment, changed my oil, radios in the road trip bag, and brought up a spare wheel from the basement this week. I'll get gas on 256 just north of 70 on the way to B&E. Short of a wash which probably isn't going to happen I think we are pretty much ready to go.
Now that is the spirit. If you want I can bring my Leatherman tool & you guys with summer tires cam grove them into intermediates. I'm not sure my MINI will get washed either.
Oil getting topped off, need a rotate + balance but will have to do with out this run! Wash will be done for sure though since I was slacking at the dinner. Hahha might use that tool and make some wanna be mudders. ;p Sent from my T-Mobile G1 using Tapatalk
I don't know my summer tires were pretty unhappy this morning. The drive is starting to feel like an F1 race, tire choice could decide who gets to order lunch first
It was spitting snow this morning and my summers felt okay on the road. If it's dry on Saturday I think they'll be fine. I've noticed I can get them to slide on the pavement a bit more with these low temperatures, but it's manageable. :deadhorse:
Yea but when will it get up to those temps? Probably after lunch and in the sunlight. My tires were fine this morning after they get some heat in them from highway miles, but the onramp was slippery
FWD doesn't drift, it pushes. Might you be referring to trailing throttle oversteer? Now that can be fun! (professional driver closed course do not attempt)
I thought Cooper wasn't coming? For the record I experinced a big push then a massive bog as I let off the power and tried to get going again without downshifting
