ghanks for all the information. I don;pt have an ISB, so it must be something else. My plan is to have it hauled to the dealer, so there will be no chance that they can say "could not duplicate problem?". :D

I will report back once the problem is identified and fixed.

Pretty sure the purpose of the ISB is to help enable auto- start/stop once that became an option...by keeping the Computer aware of the capacity and condition of the battery, it ensures the car does not shut off tge computer is aware of a possible capacity issue due to age..also keeps the computer so it knows how much power should be available....I hate the thought of needing to update a computer to let it know a car has a new battery...but for some options the OEMS are implementing....it is needed...apparently...

Change in plans. Learned today that my AAA membership only allows my car to be towed "5 miles" free. So, upgraded to "100 miles towing", but that wonlt start until Monday. :mad2:

So, I take the new battery in to have it checked. It is fully charged and shows nothing wrong, so the generator must be working. Put it back in, all the lights on the dash light up, the chime starts chiming. Push the starter and everything shuts off. :confused5:

    Continued until next Monday.............:D

Check your ground connection at the body Jim.

AAA+ is very handy to have. Some car insurance policies cover towing too. Mine does.

MM: The horse would not like I-795. :eek6:

Crash: Good call. I'll check my policy and the ground too.

If this were the 1970's, I'd be thinking "starter solenoid", but I don't think cars have them any more. :D

It is not as noisy as the hatch, the suspension seems tighter and I like watching the spoiler go up and down. Not real wild about the automatic trans. I want to shift before it does. Sport mode is also strange with an auto.

Nice car and it has be thinking coupe again.

Mark, just went to MINI USA to build a coupe, but guess what? It will NOT let you pick all black. Pick black for the body (which costs $500.00) and when you try to pick a black roof it says NO.

There are times when MINI steps on its pee pee. I would only buy one in all black, as I think it looks funny otherwise. :mad2:

I think you have to choose body color instead of black Jim, even though body color is black.

Jim, I tried it all kinds of ways and no dice. Black body equals red or white roof.

Well, I get a coupe to play with and it is calling to two days of freezing rain and snow. :mad2:

Took it out (briefly) this morning and found that the visibility is very limited and in the rain it is awful. I realize that I am use to a hatch, but you really can't see much going on around you. The hatch is also heavy and hard to work with one hand. Other then that it is a pleasure to drive.

Let me know of you figure out the :all black" trick on the configurer.

I was actually thinking that Dave. Volcanic Orange looks a lot like Mellow Yellow to me and I like the plate idea. :D
