Thank you Mark & the group from Tar Heels for another great run!

I was only able to join you on the Ice Cream run this year, but I really had a awesome time and enjoyed meeting everyone.

 

It was a great weekend... I didn't end up meeting too many people as the spirted Saturday morning drive went into overtime. It was great meeting the guys in that group however... look forward to doing it again! Big Kudos to Rudy and the "Mad Scientist" for putting together a great run.

 

Good seeing you again Tim, and letting the old guy run wth the "big boys", or at least try and keep up.
No stinking ice cream but the BBQ was grat!

 

OK folks, here's the video I took of the ice cream run to "Soda Pop's".

Couple of things:
My video skills are just developing......
I speed-ed up the video in an attempt to keep it from being boring. And I left the engine noises on the track for those who requested it. I tried to keep it somewhat short.

MM, good video...looks like Fungo Squiggly did well and I didn't hear a peep from the Chihuahua during the whole run. Glad to hear you and yours made it back safely :smile5:

Yeah, there were a whole string of OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, we're gonna die, but I edited them out.

The chihauhaua was kinda bug eyed, didn't say much. Took two days for the dog to become normal again. My wife, well....... she still is jerking and mumbling in her sleep.

Time heals all......

 

Been out of town, so this was mu first chance to catch up. Video does not work well on a BB.

I liked the lead in and out. I really like that camera angle/position, as it had my head turning with each curve. I see you like to keep a safe distance between you and the car ahead as I do.

Nice video, thanks, never get tired of watching MINIs run those roads, fall colors were also outstanding..

 

Not a bad first run video, looks great and fun.

Wish I had a video in the car last May when we made a solo run up the Dragon, but the wife took some decent in car snaps. :arf:

We have a pretty permanent scuff/indent where she had to plant her foot so she could handle the Nikon.

Here's a video I took on MSSD. It's the run from Deal's Gap to Tellico Plains on the Dragon. The weather was perfect. Unfortunately the mic was accidently switched off so sorry, no engine sounds.

Well..... great surprise this morning...
The wife walks in and wants to know if we are going to MSSD again for this year.

So I hold my excitement.... Ohhh, I don't know, did you have fun last year????? Well, turns out she had a great time, but this year she wants to do it without Kee the Chihuahua. Turns out she had a real problem holding the dog and all without being able to grab onto the hand holds for bracing...... go figure. She liked the Fall colors, the Fall temperature and all the great MINI people associated with the Tar Heel MINI club.
Soooo, has the date been set? Will want to contact Fontana next week to find out room availability in the lodge.

Can't wait......
