    Vibration gone

Wrapped the door lock with a thin one inch strip of electrical tape and problem solved. Took off both arm rests and smothered the contact points with that furry stuff that comes with Velcro. Vibration gone..........for now.

Make sure no part of the seatbelt is touching the side of the car? That drove me nuts for a bit. Other than that, no ideas here.

Year of your MINI? As said, make sure the belt metal clip is not riding your side trim. ;)

Well, since you know "where" the problem is - something to do with the lock linkage - it should be fairly easy to fix it. Pull the door panel, look for where the linkage is touching something in the locked position, and put a piece of felt or something in there to stop it rattling, or bend the linkage slightly to get it away from what it's touching.

    Good luck!

Is the sound by chance a kinda faint buzz/rattle? I was getting one coming from the back of my drivers side door, but when I locked the door it stopped.

It's the door lock on top of the door. In the locked position, it vibrates. When I unlock it, the right side door vibrates. Looking for felt that's thin enough to get in there.
