I called Billet Technologies on Friday to check on the availability of the MINI OCC. They had such poor response they never produced any after the first batch or two. However, they are about to setup to run more OCC's and if you call and get on the list, they will produce MINI OCCs to fulfill any requests. You have about 2 weeks. The site address is billettechnology (dot) com.

Holy hell $340 for a catch can setup:mad5: Talk about taking advantage of the market.
I'll stick with my intake manifold PCV delete plugs, manual intake and intercooler cleaning -

^^^Go with a dual setup, 1 for the hot side and 1 for the cold side and throw away those plugs....
That's only $215.00 a side......

2/3s of the 16oz can goes in an almost empty gas tank just before fill up(93octane) and the other 1/3(or use the spray foam) goes slowly through the intake with the engine running ~1krpm. Shut engine down for 15min or so then a nice Italian Tune Up run. On Margi(08 R56 MCS/JCWm) this has been done every 3kmi x 30kmi and it works great. At 50kmi, Margi blew a head gasket and I got to physically see the intake valves, clean as a whistle. Also the Seafoam has in no way adversely affected the turbo(keep those rpms low while feeding her seafoam).
Of course this must be done in conjunction with a proper OCC that is properly installed to catch all of the blow by like the BSH occ and BSH cut off bivalve both sold here on M/A by Defenders of Speed.

Okay, for the past two years I've read post after post about OCC's, Seafoam, Walnut Blasting, etc. and have just sat back and wondered why I haven't had any carbon issues with my MINI's. My respect runs high for those that have explained the issues, presented elimination methods and generally confirmed that an issue with carbon build up exists.
I have owned 4 MINI's, '04 MCS which I drove 106,000 miles...'09 JCW which I drove 82,000 miles...'11 CMS. which has 29,000 miles and my '12 JCWCPE which has 12,000 miles. None of them have had an OCC, been Seafoamed, Walnut Shelled or any other procedure to remove carbon build up and all have performed perfectly.
Without this post turning into a tuning, cam, nitrous type discussion, why haven' t I had an issue and why does it appear that others are constantly chasing the problem? -

Mark I think that the magic bullet for you is that you drive your MINIs a LOT.
That being said I would recommend anyone who cares about their car to add a bottle of Techron to the gas tank before each oil change. Just my .02.
Italian tune up & Techron FTW... :biggrin5: -
