The other thing you can do is cut yourself a couple different length spacers from small diameter hose. If the dealer has overfilled (like they seem always to do) slip the longest spacer onto the dipstick and use the spacer to judge how far to not insert the dip stick. This will lower the apparent oil level enough to clearly see it on the plastic. Much cheaper than a custom dipstick from Craven.
