I had a local butcher assemble one of these for me a couple of years ago, and I cooked it for my immediate family during Thanksgiving. It was very tasty. All of the bones are completely removed, so basically it's one huge ball of meat. Some turkeys can end up sort of dry and the addition of the duck compensates for this shortage. It turned out very nice, especially the part about getting someone else to do the assembly work.:cornut:

These are highly regarded here in food-obsessed south Louisiana. We had our first last Thanksgiving. As far as I'm concerned, it beats turkey hands down, but they are pricey.

Yeah.... of the 3, it was the duck that put up the biggest fight. Made a heck of a racket in the butcher shop.
