Anyone watch the race? What a moron.......claimed Amy was at fault for a previous encounter when it was a completely different car. He was penalized for passing under a yellow because he wanted to get up to Amy and give her a bump.
Then he is hired to run a car in the Xfinity race at RA and promptly puts it in the sand trap first lap.....HA!! Finishes in last place, that'll look good on the old resume'.....-

I know........I was yelling at the TV when I heard who the driver was.
Loved his excuse..."But I was taking it easy..."-

If as described, and not the first instance, a series ban does not seem out of line.
As a competitor, I don't want to be on the track with someone like that. As an F&C worker, now I'm subject to the dangers of having to respond to the incident. As a fan, I'm mad that the race was altered. Sanctioning body will most likely not listen to a volunteer, they might listen to a group of competitors, but hopefully will heed fans if they voice displeasure with their wallets.
[soapbox] Days of Thunder sure perpetuated the myth that Rubbin is Racin. Try that in a formula car. If you make contact as a matter of course to make a pass or to win, you are a POS. [/soapbox]-

LIFETIME BAN and as much as you can fine him. Plus have to pay for the other cars damaged........... I would have immediately pulled into the pit.....Grabbed the largest crescent wrench I could find and meet him in his pit when he got out of his car.......
I doubt his helmet would do him much good -

Watched the race yesterday.
"As a penalty for his actions during the race, the Trans Am Chief Steward stripped Drissi of all points and standings from the race and he was struck from the results."

Man, beyond that nervous melt-down from Drissi, T/A has really turned into amateur hour. Ham-fisted oversteer wipeouts, cars jamming it into reverse and gunning it while sliding sideways on the grass, drunken sailor racing lines: it was all there. There was a time when the T/A guys ridiculed Grand AM for being Junior Varsity. I'm afraid the tables have turned. The 'Pros' of SCCA should have a quick look at the SCCA club racing Runoffs: they could learn a thing or two.

"Trans-am.....the NASCAR of road racing"?
That was a creepy interview.
