The convertible type Minis are all only one touch down and hold to get back up. I hear that it can be programmed but not sure of this especially on the newer2013+ Minis

I did a VIN Decode on the sewing site and the result under Interior states 'Pwr windows -inc: one-touch up & dn'.
Made a copy and will see what the dealer says tomorrow when they're changing the O2 sensor!! Oh, it's a 2013 coupe. -
Great! I'll be curious to ear what they say for sure...
Would the dealer charge one to do this while it is under warranty and service plan? Or would't they even not touch it because it would go against some safety law of sort?
I must agree to keep it civilized... As far as what I said, I was personaly referring to the US government and specifically the safety agency... NHTSA -

Stopped at the dealer today and the service writer sent it to the shop to reprogram for power window one touch up..mechanic says the 'D.C.S. does not have one touch up on power windows'.
I can only assume it is so. -
NOOOoooooooooo.....
So they really changed it seen 2012 model year because I know of one roadster from 2012 that had it done not by the dealer but someone that know how to deal with programing.
Will have our service somewhat soon. I'll ask as well. It doesn't hurt to ask... -
Dave.0 Helix & RMW PoweredLifetime SupporterQuestion: Are you going to the Dragon this year? Only because the big shops like Helix, Detroit Tuned and WMW will be and they can do this for you at the Dragon.
If you are not going you can take a nice long drive across PA on the Turn-Pike and have Helix program this for you and get a REAL Philly Cheesesteak. -
The guys at Helix managed to program a bunch of useful window stuff on my car (2012 Roadster S) at the Dragon this year, like:
- leaving the windows powered for a minute after the car is off
- not stopping the window movement when the door is open
- the all-important one-touch up.
This was great until a xenon levelling issue meant that the footwell computer just got replaced and all that goodness went away :cryin: -

Awwwww that sucks. I am sure if you are in the Helix area (Philly) they would recode it for you. The address for Helix and phone # is above in this thread. :ihih: -
Dave.0 Helix & RMW PoweredLifetime SupporterYou are not trying to have it done at a Dealership are you? They do not have all the options (codes) to enable ALL functions. They are limited to what BMW / MINI gives them.
You have to go to a Vendors like Helix (local to me) to have options turned on with the Aftermarket software they have which has access to everything and is not restricted by Country / dealership.
If your in the Philly Area Helix will reprogram "Code" it for you again or code it again at the Dragon. It is not something that can be done remotely. -

Blue haired Mike did our R55 at the dragon.

My GTI aka the German bread-van needed those codes done too. I ended up with Carista & was able to do my coding with it. From what I understand the folks at Carista are very responsive & helpful. Send them an email about your auto up problem TG. -
nope not at all
I did send them an email. They've been pretty responsive so far. Will see what they say on this one... I've been told the one touch up window option shows up on an R58, but obviously there's no convertible roof top issue there... -

^^^ Cool and Blue haired mike work at Helix. Just an FYI.
-
Actually, pretty sure the Blue Mohican does remote coding as well. He sends you a net book that you connect to WiFi and your car... then he takes over from his home base and you're good to go.
