Police are keen to the two pedestrians highlighted in the footage. The incident happened at 7.15pm as the grey Mini Cooper S was travelling along Manchester Road, towards Rochdale, when the driver lost control at the junction of Dane Street. The car crossed the central reservation and collided with the railings, before ploughing into the college. The driver, a 21-year-old man, suffered head injuries and was taken to Salford Royal Infirmary for treatment. He is currently being treated in hospital and his condition remains stable.
