"The best MINI model ever would have to be the MINI Cooper S (R53)."
"There is no mistaking the lines of the R53 for some other car; it is uniquely MINI and, in a world teaming with sedans and SUVs, was just as much of a head-turner as its ancestors. The R53 faithfully preserved the look and feel of the classic Mini, while offering modern amenities the original didn’t have such as safety belts, ABS, airbags, connectivity and so much more."
Congratulations to the R53 as our choice for the best MINI model ever.
Now that has been finally settled.![]()

I've got to agree that the classics are certainly the most intriguing of all cars built to date. The 1970 Cooper S MkII is one if the most desirable as they are the last of the Cooper S cars. The '67 is very highly desirable as well, as they are the last of the US export cars to be had. That is, of course, unless the person bringing said Mini into the US was the largest BMC importer on the West coast and remains one of the most well know dealership owners of the time...
